TMJ AND CHIROPRACTIC

TMJ stands for Temporo-Mandibular Joint.

"Temporo" indicates that it has to do with the temple.

"Mandibular" indicates that it has to do with the Mandible (aka: "the jaw").

How the jaw works? When the jaw opens it hinges down and shifts forward.  

When I treat patients with TMJ I merely am working to restore the regular opening and hinging of the jaw.
