"Popping" My Own Bones -Any other ways to pop my bones without going to a Chiropractor?

Any other ways to pop my bones without going to a Chiropractor?   Yes of course.  There are many ways to do this but  they are rarely safe.

A Chiropractic Adjustment mid back

A person who cracks their own neck, back or knuckles --- over time is going to wear down the cartilage and the bone and the joints of the body.

There are healthy ways to "pop" someone's back, neck, et cetera and then there are unhealthy ways to do it.

One can lay flat on the ground, interlock his hands around his head and then curl the head up and this will usually create a "pop".   Or one can bend his head far to the left or right and experience a pop.  However, if this is done incorrectly (as it usually is when done by oneself), other areas of the body can be adversely affected.

A Chiropractor is trained in the proper techniques so that the bones don't have unhealthy friction and damage.

One can always pop their own bones but it is risky and doing it over a long period of time...can lead to a serious worsening of health.  Bone matter is hard to replace once it's been destroyed. This is why having surgical removal of bone matter never makes sense to me.

Most Chiropractic appointments are very affordable and are covered by insurance with a small co-pay and so there is really no reason not to see a Chiropractor and trying to "adjust" yourself.

Even Chiropractic doctors don't adjust themselves...most of us have another local doctor friend who we go to to get our bones "popped".

Be safe, Be healthy, See your local Chiropractor before "popping" your own bones and wrecking your chance at a healthy lifestyle.
