-Most Chiropractors are happy to give a "check-up" for free. A full examination however (involving x-rays and a multitude of tests) will usually require anywhere from 50.00-150.00.  

-Most Chiropractors however are well-trained at spotting the problem with your back by doing 1-2 simple quick tests and most Chiropractors, by experience, are pretty apt at spotting the correct source of the trouble and some charge very little for this very valuable service.

After 16 years of practice, I find that I can usually spot the source of a patient's back pain very quickly. I've known many experienced Chiropractors that can just look at a body - how it's standing and sitting and moving around - and be able to ascertain that a hip is out of alignment and probably causing lots of back pain.
