How long should I go to a Chiropractor for Sciatica and a Herniated Disc before considering other options?

The answer to this varies.  Every time you go in for a Chiropractic Adjustment the doctor should do an examination (can be very short or long exam) in order to monitor how a patient is responding to treatment.  The results gotten from Chiropractic care may not be overnight success especially for long-term chronic conditions.

One should usually see a Chiropractor for Sciatica and a Herniated Disc for a few weeks and then ensure a re-examination is done to really evaluate progress.  

If it has been more than two weeks and there is no improvement in one’s Sciatica or Herniated Disc then one should ask the doctor for a referral to a specialist in order to work out a different plan of attack.
