Soft tissues injuries include sprains, strains and bulging or herniated discs.  Sprains occur when the ligaments or tendons are stretched beyond their useful range of motion.  Strains are muscle pulls.  All of these injuries cause inflammation, loss of range of motion and pain, which can impact your daily life.

A herniated disc occurs when a portion of the disc slips out of place, putting pressure on the nerves and soft tissues.  Herniated or bulging discs can be caused by car accidents, lifting heavy objects or by hard falls.  Symptoms include lower back pain and loss of range of motion of the back.  In severe cases, pain may also radiate down into the legs.
