Simply put - When a Chiropractor is adjusting your spine and neck he/she is looking for areas where the nerves are being "pinched" so he/she can adjust these areas; put them back in proper alignment, in order to relieve the pain, numbness, etc.

Joints and vertebra go out of alignment and can pinch the nerve channels and this is what the Chiropractor is looking to "adjust" when he's giving a Chiropractic Adjustment to your neck or spine.
